Delta-8 and delta-9 have comparable adverse effects, including dry mouth. The Delta 9 is significantly more powerful than the Delta 8.Some experts believe it's about twice as powerful overall. Side effects are more severe with Delta 9 and include paranoid delusions, mental confusion, motor impairment, and anxiety. Delta-8 THC and delta-9 THC come from the cannabis sativa plant, which naturally produces more than 100 cannabinoids or active components.

Researchers say that it is essential to study delta-8-THC and other cannabinoids that come to the market to substantiate policies, regulations and practices that minimize costs, risks and harms and, at the same time, maximize the potential benefits of delta-8-THC. Delta-8 THC and delta-9 THC may have similar chemical structures, but the differences make the difference. Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol is a hemp-derived cousin of cannabis that is often consumed in edible products such as gummies.
The Krugers partnered with Buffalo-based Bison Botanics, which used their social media channels to call on Delta-8-THC consumers to participate in a research survey developed by the Krugers. Very few of us are aware that Delta-9 is not the only type of THC, or even the only one that produces a “euphoric effect”. THC delta-8 and THC delta-9 can produce the positive or adverse effects mentioned above, since both THC delta-8 and THC delta-9 activate the body's CB1 and CB2 cannabinoid receptors, including those in the central nervous system.
